Prof. Almoataz Y. Abdelaziz

ALMOATAZ Y. ABDELAZIZ (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering according to the channel system between Ain Shams University and Brunel University, U.K., in 1996. He has been a Professor of electrical power engineering with Ain Shams University, since 2007. He is currently delegated in Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Future University in Egypt, which he was the Vice Dean of education and students affairs from 2018 to 2019. He has authored or coauthored more than 600 refereed journals and conference papers, 50 book chapters, and eight edited books with Elsevier, Springer, and CRC Press. In addition, he has supervised more than 80 master’s and 40 Ph.D. theses. He is a member in the Egyptian Sub-Committees of IEC, CIGRE and CIRED. He received Ain Shams University Appreciation Award in Technological Sciences in 2022. He was awarded the Superiority Egypt Award in Engineering Sciences in 2023. He is recognized among the top 2% scientists worldwide according to Stanford University study from 2020-2024. He is the chair of the IEEE Education Society Chapter in Egypt. He is an editor of Electric Power Components and Systems (T&F), and Energy and AI (Elsevier) journals. He is an editorial board member, an editor, an associate editor, and an editorial advisory board member for many international journals. His research interests include the applications of artificial intelligence and evolutionary and heuristic optimization techniques to power system planning, operation, and control.

Prof. K. Shanti Swarup

Prof. K. Shanti Swarup is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, where he has been a faculty member since 2000. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, in 1991, specializing in Electrical Power Systems. He obtained his M.Tech in Electrical Engineering from REC Warangal in 1985 and B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from JNTU-COE Kakinada in 1983. Prior to joining IIT Madras, he worked as a Visiting Researcher at Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Osaka, and as a Visiting Professor at the Kitami Institute of Technology, Hokkaido, Japan. His research expertise includes power system operation and control, optimization, power system automation, digital and numerical protection, SCADA, energy management systems, smart grids, demand response, and computational intelligence. He has made significant contributions to smart grid control, network automation, distributed artificial intelligence, multi-agent systems, and renewable energy systems. He has supervised numerous Ph.D. and master’s research scholars in power systems, protection, automation, optimization, and renewable energy. He has undertaken several industrial consultancy and sponsored research projects with leading organizations in India and abroad. His consultancy and research collaborations include projects with Accenture, Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen, TANGEDCO, BHEL, Hitachi, Honeywell, and other major organizations. His extensive academic, research, and industrial contributions make him a distinguished expert in power systems, smart grids, and renewable energy

Prof. Suneel Raju Pendem

Dr. Suneel Raju Pendem joined the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal as an Assistant Professor in August 2025. He holds a Ph.D. in Power Electronic Converter Applications to Renewable Energy Systems from the National Institute of Technology Goa. His research interests include Renewable Energy Systems, Power Electronic Converters, Gate Driver Circuits, Electrical Drives, Electric Vehicles, Distributed Generation, and Soft Computing Techniques. Prior to joining NIT Warangal, Dr. Suneel Raju Pendem served as a regular faculty member at the Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad from 07th July 2023 to 17th August 2025. He also has industrial experience as an Assistant Manager in the Powertrain Engineering Department (Electric Vehicles) at Renault Nissan Technology and Business Center India (RNTBCI), Chennai. Dr. Suneel Raju Pendem was awarded the Young Scientist Award under the International Travel Support Scheme by the Government of India to present his research work at the 45th Annual IEEE Conference of the Industrial Electronics Society (IECON 2019) held in Lisbon, Portugal. He has published 20+ research articles in reputed journals and conferences, including those from IEEE, IET, Taylor & Francis, Elsevier etc. He is actively engaged in research and welcomes opportunities for collaboration.

Prof. Ahmed Ali

Prof. Ahmed Ali is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, where he has served since 2017, progressing through the roles of Lecturer (2017–2019), Senior Lecturer (2019–2024), and Associate Professor (June 2024–Present). He received his Doctor of Engineering (DEng) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Johannesburg, and his Master of Engineering (MEng) in the same discipline from the same institution. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Applied Science University, Jordan, and later pursued a postgraduate degree in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at the University of Texas at Austin. He is currently completing a Master of Data Science at Deakin University, Australia, expected in October 2026. He is an NRF C2-rated researcher and an IEEE Senior Member, with more than a decade of academic, research, and engineering experience spanning Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, renewable energy systems, smart grids, power electronics, data science, cybersecurity, and intelligent IoT systems. His research output includes over 50 ISI/Scopus-indexed journal publications, more than 40 international and local conference papers, and multiple peer-reviewed book chapters. He has extensively supervised Master’s and doctoral research scholars across AI, machine learning, renewable energy, smart grids, IoT, and data-driven engineering. He serves as Tutor Coordinator at the University of Johannesburg and is an active contributor to academic committees, international research collaborations, journal editorial activities, peer review, and curriculum development. His keynote research theme, “From Hidden Data to Adaptive Trust,” integrates data authenticity, artificial intelligence, adaptive communication trust, IoT cybersecurity, and smart-energy infrastructure toward verifiable intelligent systems. His extensive academic, research, and professional contributions make him a distinguished expert in artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and smart grid systems.
